Why did I take up photography again?

I enjoy it more than painting.

Why Nikon (now)?

I fell in love with the shutter click (shy . . . )

My gear?

I’ll ever only need three lenses at any one time. Not a gearhead. Dislike heavy bags and 1-2 lenses out per time is more than enough.
1) walk-about (current 17-50mm f2.8)
2) macro (current 90mm f2.8)
3) looking out for a tele to cover the range from 55-200/300 mm

Other stuff I have accumulated over time?

190Cxpro4 tripod + ballhead, dry cabinet, speedlite,  too many camera straps (okay, i like things in colour other than black!), camera bag that looks like a postman’s bag or army supplies bag, mosquito repellent and the list goes on . . .

H ow about primes?

Doesn’t give me the flexibility (okay, okay, the 90mm is a prime…i’m guilty). Had a canon 50mm yonks back and well, much prefer having a decent range for lengths these days but like having fixed apertures.

Anyone wanna sponsor my 3rd lens??

What do I shoot these days?

I do mainly macro  now.  Some street shooting. No patience to shoot food because all I want to do is just to eat the food when its in front of me.

I like urban decay so love looking for old buildings but is scared of ghosts (and trust me, those old buildings do have them by the loads).

No, you won’t see me doing much landscape (heck, i dont’ even paint landscapes). But the other reason is that there isn’t much of any decent landscape to shoot where I live.

Animals? Yes, when i have the chance.  People, yes if possible.
